VMI & VMITET Career Talk
What?
Our guest is Hermann Lehner. Do you wonder what happend in his career since graduation? How is life in a small company? How was the transition from academia to industry? Why did he decide to return to D-INFK? Hermann will tell us the answers to these and many more questions at the next VMI & VMITET career talk. Hermann completed his PhD in formal software verification in 2011 in Peter Müller’s group. Afterwards, he worked for some years as a software engineer at incentage, a small company with focus on middleware for banks and financial monitoring. In 2016, he returned to D-INFK as a lecturer. First, Hermann will tell us about his career since graduation, and then, you will have the opportunity to ask him anything you want to know. This part of the evening will take up to one hour. Finally, we conclude this career talk with a nice apéro and some nice drinks.
VMI goes Sledding
When and where?
Saturday, 17th of February, 2018 at Schlittelbahn Preda Bergün
We will gather at 8am at Zurich HB and come back to the same place around 10pm.
Game Night
What?
Join us for some games. We will play some party games like one night werewolves, codenames or avalon. We will also organize some food and drinks.
General Assembly
When and where?
On Monday, 4th of December, we will meet for the general assembly of VMI. The event starts at 17:30 and takes place in room G 15.2 in CAB (see map below). During and after the meeting we will have a rich apero. If participants want to further celebrate the successful VMI year 2017, then VMI will sponsor some drinks in bQm afterwards.
